Event Description: The Part 141 Approved Online Ground School-Private Pilot uses a sophisticated knowledge transfer systems to ensure mastery of all the information needed to be a competent, safe pilot and to pass the FAA knowledge test with confidence. The objectives include, but are not limited to: airplanes and aerodynamics; airplane instruments, engines, and systems; airports, air traffic control, and airspace; federal aviation regulations; airplane performance and weight and balance; aeromedical factors and Aeronautical Decision Making (ADM); aviation weather; aviation weather services; navigation: charts and publications; navigation systems; and cross-country flight planning. The course concludes with a visit to Northgate Aviation in Chico for a proctored, FAA-Private Pilot Ground School written knowledge test and may include a field trip to the Chico Air Museum or local municipal airports. The course is entirely online and requires a laptop with internet connection. Successful completion earns the bronze flight wings.
