Event Description: Recruit training (RT) is the cadet's introduction to military routine and discipline and is the cadets' first step towards advancing in the Sea Cadet Program. Cadets will learn drill, basic Navy subjects, elementary seamanship, basic damage control, and quarter's maintenance. Physical fitness training is part of the daily routine so be prepared!
Event Notes: Payment via website PAYPAL only! No checks or MOs. A PT test will be administered upon reporting. Cadets who DO NOT pass the minimum PT standards will not be checked-in and sent home with NO REFUND. PT is an integral part of Recruit Training and will be VERY challenging. Cadets MUST BE in GOOD physical condition to pass the PT test at elevation and on trails. Registration will not be confirmed without passing PT test documentation within 3 months. Cadets require GOOD QUALITY RUNNING SHOES! NO orthopedic issues within 6 months. Cadets with serious allergies to plants, trees or insects MUST be prepared as this training is conducted mostly outdoors in a heavily wooded area with heavy pollen and insect counts. See website for seabag list, tshirt size submission, and payment link. Staff cadets will report 1 July! BMR MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO START OF TRAINING!
Lodging Notes: Lodging will be in bunk beds and/or cots in climate-controlled cabins.
Travel Notes: $50 transportation fee for pick-up/drop-off from Nashville Airport (no unaccompanied minor gate escorts provided.) Pick-up meeting location is at Green Beans coffee shop in the Southwest baggage claim area. Drop-off will be at specific airline.
