Event Description: Welcome to Field Medic training! This course is intended to give all individuals the common, basic, and slightly advanced training skills to properly perform First-Aid in tactical and non-tactical environments. The course will consist of two brief courses on heat casualties, tactical and non-tactical triage. The remaining three courses will be more advanced covering preventative medicine, land navigation, and tactical movement & evacuation. PT is an integral part of this training and will be conducted at least once a day. Cadets will also receive training in hand-to-hand combat. In order to graduate from this course, cadets will be required to pass both a final written and practical exam.

Cadets require GOOD QUALITY RUNNING SHOES! NO orthopedic issues within 6 months. Cadets with serious allergies to plants, trees or insects MUST be prepared as this training is conducted mostly outdoors in a heavily wooded area with heavy pollen and insect counts. You must be able to swim. See website for seabag list, tshirt size submission, and payment link. Staff cadets will report 1 July!
Lodging Notes: Lodging will be on cots in tent city which has shower and bathroom facilities.
Travel Notes: $50 transportation fee for pick-up/drop-off from Nashville Airport (no unaccompanied minor gate escorts provided.) Pick-up meeting location is at Green Beans coffee shop in the Southwest baggage claim area. Drop-off will be at specific airline.
